UMN Grads presented designs in a round-robin fashi

UMN Grads presented designs in a round-robin fashion to community members, university faculty, local architects, and NET Northside interns at Farview Park on Wednesday.

The students are preparing to present designs this saturday at our co-design event! Any and all are welcome to come to this event and design with students and the community!

Saturday, October 15th at Farview Park from 10-4pm.

UMN grad students were lucky enough to get a tour of The Sacred Settlement with Gabriel Clowdus!

This is a tiny home community meant for anyone and everyone, but was designed to tackle issues of homelessness.

Thank you Gabriel for the insightful tour and presentation.

On Tuesday, UMN grad students walked more of the N

On Tuesday, UMN grad students walked more of the North Minneapolis neighborhood and volunteered at The Oak Park Neighborhood Center harvesting veggies, repainting their stage/benches, and composting.

Students were also able to help DeeDee prepare a community meal. These meals are healthy, farm to table, and free to those in need. Meals are available Tuesday-thursday every week on a grab-and-go basis.

A special thanks to Michael Chaney, leader of Project Sweetie Pie for organizing an afternoon of volunteering.

University of Minnesota grad students, NET North M

University of Minnesota grad students, NET North Minneapolis interns, university faculty, local community leaders/lesions, architects, and community members worked together at our first co-design event on Saturday, October 1st.

The group was able to walk around north minneapolis sharing ideas, stories, histories, etc relating to the neighborhood. Later in the day the group worked with each other to share design ideas for North Minneapolis by drawing together.

We want to encourage any community members that would like to be a part of our co-design event to come to the next one at Farview Park on Saturday, October 15th from 10-4pm. All are welcome, and thanks to those who participated this past weekend! #investinnorthminneapolis #northminneapolis.
